Derinkuyu Emineana and Yaşar Ertaş Vocational School of Agriculture and Livestock was built by Hamza ERTAŞ in order to keep the name of two people, his mother and father, whom he loved very much and who raised him, in Derinkuyu district.

Hamza ERTAŞ realized his dream of building a school, which he had dreamed of due to the shortage of classrooms during his teaching years, and which he thought would provide an important gain to his country, in his own hometown of Derinkuyu.

Hamza ERTAŞ was born in 1950 in Suvermez Village. He attended primary school in Suvermez Village and secondary school in Nevşehir High School. He graduated from Kırşehir first male teacher's school in the summer term in the 1968-1969 academic year. In August 1969, he worked as a teacher in Kazıklı village of Selendi district of Manisa, and later in Caferli village of Sorgun district of Yozgat. After working as a teacher for two years, first in the town of Hacibektas and then in the village of Doga in the district of Derinkuyu, in 1972-1973, he enrolled in the Turkish department of Konya Selcuk Education Institute in 1975. In 1977, he worked as the principal at the Suvermez village primary school. In November 1978, he left his beloved job and moved to Istanbul to help his father.

Hamza ERTAŞ got married to İhsane Ertaş in 1970 and they have three children named Devrim, Hasene and Mustafa Deniz.
